Our Founding Story
A Cooperative Borne Out of an Absolute Zeal for Radical Change
Oro Integrated Cooperative was conceived by Atty. Mordino “Mordz” Cua. He dreamt of a cooperative that would provide financial self-sufficiency and economic independence to its members and the community. This dream materialized when he united 27 other individuals who strongly believed in the cooperative idea. With a modest startup capital of 88 pesos, they formed Oro Credit Union on March 5, 1966, serving as the first set of officers and managers. The name was changed to Oro Integrated Cooperative in 1991 and has since become known as OIC.

What We Offer
Tailor-made Products and Services
OIC offers a wide array of products and services tailored to the needs of its members; from investments, savings, loans, insurance, as well as its recently launched online services. OIC is also the first cooperative in the Philippines to offer ATM Services.
Prompted by the adverse economic impact brought about by the pandemic, OIC's commitment to continually serve its members and the community reinforced the need for Online Services. OIC launched its Online Services in July 2020 through two channels: Google Forms for Debit Transfers and Express Loan applications, and its official website www.orointegrated.coop — enabling members, including OFWs, to transact from anywhere.

Empowering Enterprises through Business Development

Financial Empowerment
Wealth Building for Every Filipino
In 2021, the Integrated Wealth Building Program (IWBP) was developed to address prevalent issues on financial literacy in OIC, the cooperative movement, and the Philippine context. The IWBP enables employees, officers, and members to become financially literate and eventually achieve financial freedom.
In the same year, the Kabayani Wealth Building Program (KWBP) was launched as a joint collaboration between OIC and Sta. Catalina Credit Cooperative (SCC). The KWBP provides Overseas Filipinos a long-term savings investment to support the plans and dreams of OFWs and their families — bridging distance through financial security.
