Data Privacy Statement

Oro Integrated Cooperative is committed to protecting and respecting members’ data privacy and ensuring that all personal data collected from members and employees are processed according to the general principles of transparency, legitimate purpose, and proportionality. It is in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and other issuances by the National Privacy Commission.  

What kinds of information do we collect?

a) Name, Age,Date/Place of Birth, Sex, Civil Status, Nationality

b) Address and Contact Details

c) Educational Background

d) Government-issued identification details

e) Specimen signatures

 f) Employment and/or business information

 g) Financial information

 h) Transaction history

 i) Permits, Licenses & Registrations

 j)  CCTV footage for security purposes

k) Other personal information authorized and mandated by law to be collected

l)  In case of online or mobile application access to the cooperatives facilities, non-personal information such as those provided by the device the members are using such as the IP address, operating system, browser type, and version, and other machine-related identifiers.

 

 

Why do we collect and how do we use members’ information?

We collect and use members’ information that is material and relevant to the cooperative’s transactions/operations in fulfillment of the obligation we have with members to offer even better products and services and best adapt our business processes to members’ needs.

How do we protect your information?

We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect members’ personal information. These data are exchanged through email and hard copy, and only authorized OIC personnel will have access to them. It will be retained for as long as the purpose for which it was collected, and such other purposes that the member may have consented to from time to time remain in effect until it is no longer required nor necessary to keep the information for any other legal, regulatory or business purposes. After which physical records will be shredded and digital files will be destroyed and disposed of using secure technology.

What are the members’ rights on access and correction regarding their information?

Members have the right to request a copy of the personal information OIC has about them. They can also ask for it to be corrected if there are any errors. To do so, please reach out to our Data Protection Officer at compliance@orointegrated.coop.
